Weekly-ish Wisdom from Jennifer Kem

The Blog

i’m back. and what to do when overwhelm is your enemy.

It’s been about a month since I’ve been in touch, and I violated one of the first rules of running and marketing a successful business – CONSISTENCY.  I wanted to write a quick note apologizing for being so quiet for about 4 weeks now.

I’m not much for excuses (they don’t call me “Jen Don’t Lie” for nuthin’) but in proper truth-telling form I’ve been keeping something serious from you, my dear Fabu Life friend, for a little while now.

I’ve been sick.  The kind of illness that had me barely able to keep up with my #1 job of being a mom and keeping house – forget about the fact that I have a business to run!

The good news is that I’m back.  And it took a lot of meditation, yoga and a strict yet necessary regimen to get me back in tip-top physical shape.

What got me run-down and laid-out was something all entrepreneurs and busy folks deal with A LOT.

OVERWHELM.

See, our physical body usually reacts to something that’s going on in our mind, and in our spirit.  That’s why I unapologetically preach on how important your Mindset is in achieving what you really really want.

For the past 4 weeks, while recuperating, I touched back on a lesson that one of my mentors, Jack Canfield (you many know him from The Secret and the bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul book series) taught me.

It’s called the Rule of 5.

So in this week’s video, I talk about a great tip on how to avoid overwhelm and help you move forward, even when you’re not feeling so hot.

Do you have a tip or two that help you move through overwhelm and into action that helps your cope with your life and grow your business?  I know you do, so please share in the comments below.
